The song playing is El Shaddai

It's never too late to have a happy childhood!

My Story

I am a survivor of childhood abuse. Dolls were my closest friends when I was little, so it's only natural that my love for them has continued throughout the years. I always collected them and then started making them for friends and relatives.

As often happens in children, I blamed myself for the abuse and grew up with little to no self-esteem. Then, in my late 20s, I had a spiritual awakening. God filled my heart and began to heal me through counseling and inner healing.

In counseling, I was encouraged to express love to my inner child by using a childhood photograph of myself. Looking at the photograph was helpful to a degree, but it just didn't feel "real" enough for me. I wished that I could express love to the "little me" inside with hugs just like I used to hug my dolls.

That's what gave me the idea to create a doll with my face as a child. It provided me with a powerful way to love and heal the "little me" inside.

The credit for my healing goes to my dear Father in Heaven, Who guided my every step.

Through "Little Me" dolls, I hope to encourage both children and adults to love and cherish themselves the way that God intended.

May He bless you always!

Lisa

This song is one of my favorites...

The title is "El Shaddai," which means "The Almighty One."

(lyrics below)

El Shaddai

by Michael Card and John Thompson

El shaddai, El Shaddai,
El-Elyon na Adonia,
Age to age You're still the same,
By the power of the Name.
El Shaddai, El Shaddai,
Erkamka na Adonai,
We will praise and lift you high,
El Shaddai.
[Refrain]

Through Your love and through the ram,
You saved the son of Abraham;
Through the power of your Hand,
Turned the sea into dry land.
To the outcast on her knees,
You were the God who really sees,
And by your might,
You set your children free.

[repeat Refrain]

Through the years You've made it clear,
That the time of Christ was near,
Though the people couldn't see
What Messiah ought to be.
Though your Word contained the plan,
They just could not understand
Your most awesome work was done
Through the frailty of your Son.

[repeat Refrain x 2]
